‘No manipulation’ in silver trade

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Wednesday closed a five-year US probe into the silver market, saying there was no basis to allege manipulation. The probe reviewed data on silver positions and related derivatives traded on exchanges operated by the CME Group. It did not produce evidence for an enforcement action recommendation, the agency said.
