Froome leads team in Spain
Chris Froome said he would lead Team Sky at the Tour of Spain after overcoming the hand and wrist injuries which forced him to abandon his defence of the Tour de France last month. The 21-stage Tour gets under way on Saturday with a team time trial through Jerez de la Frontera. “This is exactly the sort of challenge that I need after the disappointment of withdrawing from the Tour de France,” he said yesterday. “You can’t dwell on disappointment, you have to move on quickly to the next thing.”
