Full hearing is needed
SIR — I refer to your In Brief article, “Davies rejects wrongdoing claim” (February 17). I released a forensic audit report which detailed evidence of significant wrongdoing by the chairman of the Companies Tribunal, advocate Simmy Lebala, and the deputy chairwoman, Matshego Ramagaga. The report provides significant documentary evidence to support allegations that they manipulated their time and travel claims to inflate their remuneration, improperly appointed consultants, and evaded the forensic investigation.
Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies claims the allegations have been proven untrue, but provides no further detail. That is why this matter must receive a full hearing before Parliament’s portfolio committee on trade and industry, a request the chair of that committee has agreed to.
