Spacious home on offer in Seychelles playground
RAWSON Auctions is offering for sale a home on Eden Island, the manmade island and deep-water yacht basin in the Seychelles, at a recommended minimum bid price of $800,000.
The home has water frontage, its own mooring and access to a nearby jetty. It has been designed in the prescribed style of pagoda roof and shuttered windows that reflects colonial, Far Eastern and Polynesian influences.
The home is ideal for entertaining. It has more space than most on Eden Island and its facilities include three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and large open-plan dining and living areas. These link with covered balconies and a well-established garden.
The house is rented by a tenant who pays $3,700 a month.
The lease can be terminated on two months’ notice.
The auction will be conducted under the silent tender system, in which bidders are asked to submit their bids in sealed envelopes before the auction time, which is set for noon on February 25. It will be held in the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
The bulk of the housing on Eden Island, all of it upmarket, is longcompleted and regularly occupied.
Mega yachts regularly visit the island and Tanya Jovanovski of Rawson Auctions in the Western Cape says buyers are particularly attracted to this area as it is a perfect holiday destination, and the homes have stunning designs.
“Eden Island is one of the recognised playgrounds of the superrich international set, many of whom own homes in four or five different areas worldwide.”
