AMONG the properties at Aucor Property’s commercial auction next month is a prime retail site in the Joburg suburb of Greenside, at the intersections of Gleneagles and Greenway roads.
“It is rare to find a prime site with retail offerings in a suburb such as Greenside, where the popularity of the area has grown substantially over the past 15 years, making it an attractive hub for restaurants, trendy boutiques and speciality businesses,” Aucor Property business development executive Sean Parsons says.
The property has exposure to a hightraffic junction.
Covering 564m², the site is zoned for business 1 and houses a car showroom and workshop. Business 1 zoning rights mean that the property can be used for a variety of purposes including converting the space into a speciality retail outlet, restaurants, residential units or offices.
In a letter dated June 9 last year, the city council said it had no objection from a town planning point of view to granting the property a liquor licence.
The double-storey building includes a showroom with workshops. The ground floor has a concrete and shade-net section which is used as a vehicle sales lot. There is also a sales office with a kitchenette, storage space, and a double wash-bay facility, which also functions as a workshop area.
The first floor has a workshop, which is accessed via a vehicle ramp, as well as a staff room with ablutions and a workshop office.
The auction will be held at the Park Hyatt Hotel on March 17 at noon.
