Map of mining threats to water

ATLAS The South African Mine Water Atlas, which will provide a comprehensive reference on the vulnerability of water resources to mining activity in SA, would be published within six months, the Water Research Commission said yesterday. The atlas would be the most extensive set of documents of its kind, the commission said. “It’s a world first,” research manager Jo Burgess said.
