Judiciary ‘lacks diversity’

The Commission for Gender Equality had advised President Jacob Zuma to turn down judicial appointments that did not address “gender and racial equity imperatives”, the Presidency said yesterday. This follows an investigation by the commission into concerns about the lack of gender diversity in the judiciary.
