Stellenbosch varsity backtracks on dean

Barely a week after Pieter Kloppers became the new dean of students, the management of Stellenbosch University had to reverse the appointment after the Student Representative Council rejected the decision because it was made without consulting students. Yesterday rector and vice-chancellor Wim de Villiers acknowledged the “valid concerns” and said an inclusive selection process would be initiated.
