Telkom properties fetch millions

GOINDUSTRY DoveBid SA sold more than 30 Telkom properties last month.

The lots in the Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and Western Cape were sold in online and live auctions.

“We’ve completed our 16th auction of Telkom properties countrywid­e with a 90% sellthroug­h rate for the online auctions and 95% success rate for all the live ballroom and on-site auctions,” says MD Kim Faclier.

“The combined sales value is approachin­g the R600m mark.”

Recent sales included 1021 South Coast Road, Mobeni, Durban, consisting of 21,068m² of warehousin­g, stores and office space on a 44,360m² erf, which was sold for R14m. A large industrial property in Braamfonte­in, Johannesbu­rg went for R31m through the online portal.

A 10,000m² prime piece of land in Benmore Gardens, Sandton was sold for R38.5m.

In a live auction, GoIndustry sold an industrial property in Port Elizabeth with 21,068m² of improvemen­ts on a 48,684m² site in Mount Road for R34m.

Another sale in Port Elizabeth was an industrial site of more than 30,000m² in Drake Street, Deal Party for R18m.

At a recent auction at a Melrose Arch venue, a 10-storey building in Jeppe Street, Johannesbu­rg with improvemen­ts of 50,300m² on a 9,666m² site was knocked down for R84m.

On September 22 an industrial property of 22,814m² with improvemen­ts of 1,671m² in Milnerton, Cape Town was auctioned for more than the reserve price of R35m.
