SA firms ‘ignoring guidelines’
A study by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Business School has found that South African firms are ignoring global guidelines for sustainability reporting. The study looked at five JSE-listed firms‚ assessing their reporting practices. Growing social and environmental injustices‚ high-profile corporate scandals and the global crises had resulted in pressure for more comprehensive sustainability reporting‚ said MBA faculty member Heidi Janse van Rensburg yesterday.
