Africa and China toil for mutual progress
The brotherhood of equality, trust and support will not change, says Xi Jinping
IN HIS closing remarks at the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation on December 5, Chinese President Xi Jinping praised the summit as a perfect, remarkable and historic event.
“In spite of adjustments and changes in international situations, the China-Africa brotherhood of equality, mutual trust and mutual support won’t change. In spite of the ups and downs of economic situations, the fundamental principles of China and Africa’s mutually beneficial co-operation and common development won’t change.
“In spite of the shifting of times and society, the co-ordinated spirit of mutual understanding and common progress between China and Africa won’t change.
“In spite of various threats and challenges, the firm determination of China and Africa to share weal and woe won’t change,” said Xi.
“Four Absolutes” showed Xi’s commitment to promoting China-Africa co-operation and demonstrate China’s resolution to improve relations.
The summit was successfully held in Johannesburg, and proved itself to be a milestone in the development of China-Africa relations. The declaration of the Johannesburg Summit and the Johannesburg Action Plan (201618) of the forum were officially approved at the summit.
