Pay back all the money

SIR — So, you steal R240m of our hard-earned tax money and are asked to pay back a mere R10m and still have the gumption to argue the toss?

We should collectively demand full payback of the total amount that was spent on the private property of a man who dares call himself president, someone who was patently never worthy of the office in the first place.

Any lesser settlement will magnify the now-acknowledged scam against the people of our country.

Why should President Jacob Zuma qualify for these so-called security upgrades? We would have been infinitely better off without him. Surely one only protects those assets that are worthy of protection? AR Viljoen Elgin
