Growth in disposable salaries continued to slow last month amid a rising cost of living and higher personal income taxes, indicating that consumers would not be in a strong position this year, the BankservAfrica Disposable Salaries index showed yesterday. The yearon-year increase in disposable salaries of 6.5% in March barely beat inflation.
