Please Call Me service inventor Nkosana Makate. It’s been a long and exhausting journey, but the Constitutional Court ruling in his favour will have been well worth it. Justice has been done, and has been seen to be done.

Cellular group Vodacom, for trying to use a technical legal defence to avoid compensating Makate for his intellectual property. As the court said, that’s not “the kind of conduct … expected from an ethical corporate entity”.

Fraud accused Gary Porritt who, after what seems an age — and 47 rulings by various courts relating to the once listed Tigon group of companies — seems likely to finally get his day in court. The sooner the better now.
