Officials push pink ball Tests

-

CRICKET Players and traditionalists needed to accept pink-ball Tests or the five-day format would not survive, New Zealand Cricket CE David White warned yesterday. Australia and New Zealand played the inaugural day-night Test in Adelaide last year, attracting huge crowds, but players complained about the pink ball. White said there was a groundswell of support from fans and television broadcasters, expressing confidence that players would come around eventually.
