Cosatu objects to bill on border control

Labour federation bodies have raised objections to the Border Management Authority Bill, including to a stipulation they say will pluck up to 10,000 public servants out of the public service. Cosatu briefed a parliamentary committee on implications of the bill for public servants who will be redeployed to the Border Management Authority, which will manage the country’s ports of entry.
