Union warns of strike action

The National Union of Metalworkers of SA has warned that production at car manufacturers could be hit if union members take strike action in the vehicle components sector. “If the component sector goes on strike, the entire auto sector would be dragged into a strike,” the union’s general secretary Irvin Jim said.
