Selassie to head IMF’s Africa desk
Abebe Aemro Selassie has been appointed the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF’s) director of its African department. Selassie has worked in the private sector, government and the IMF. He was senior resident representative in Uganda, served as mission chief for SA, led work on the Regional Economic Outlook, and has worked in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
