Engineers in legal row over council

Fourteen organisations representing the engineering industry are taking legal action against the Department of Public Works, alleging there are irregularities in the appointment of members to the Engineering Council of SA. The bodies say they want to ensure the council, aimed at transformation, does not result in a weakening of construction standards.
