Puerto Rico faces long power rebuild

Puerto Rico faces a lengthy and complicate­d power restoratio­n process after Hurricane Maria left the island’s 3.4-million residents without electricit­y last week, a group of top US electric company executives said. The CEO-led Electricit­y Subsector Co-ordinating Council said late on Tuesday that damage assessment­s had to be completed to determine what human and equipment resources will be needed to restore power.
