Puerto Rico faces long power rebuild

Puerto Rico faces a lengthy and complicated power restoration process after Hurricane Maria left the island’s 3.4-million residents without electricity last week, a group of top US electric company executives said. The CEO-led Electricity Subsector Co-ordinating Council said late on Tuesday that damage assessments had to be completed to determine what human and equipment resources will be needed to restore power.
