Compensation Fund has 326 legal cases

The Compensation Fund, which pays compensation for workers injured or made ill at work, has 326 active litigation cases against it of which 108 are due to the nonpayment of medical claims, employment & labour minister Thulas Nxesi said in a written reply to a question in parliament. The fund has been plagued for several years by disclaimers in the audit opinions of the auditor-general. /Linda Ensor
