East and West collide with tragic results in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Christine Crouse directs and Albert Horne conducts the Cape Town Opera Voice of the Nation Chorus with Russian guest soprano Tatiana Monogarova as Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly) and South African tenor Rheinaldt Tshepo Moagi in the lead role of Pinkerton, the American naval officer.
