Do I study better in harsh light or soft light?

Do I study better in my room or outside?

Do I study better at a desk or on my bed?

Do I study better with noise or silence?

Am I more alert when mobile or immobile

If I’m better mobile, is it fine motor or gross motor?

Do I need a movement cushion, gym ball, tennis ball or stress ball?

Have I got brain food snacks? (Provided your child has no allergies to these foods or supplements) nuts, carrots, biltong, fruit. Brain food snacks are better if they are crunchy or chewy, as research has shown that your thinking is enabled when chewing. Stay away from sugars and bad fats. These are non nutritional, create weight gain and have no benefit to studying.

Supplementation (Omegas for concentration and emotions) How should I learn my work? What type of learner am I? WORK learning has no benefit unless you are learning in a way that you can.

In the old days we used to learn in only one way. The teachers would talk and chalk. They would write it on the board and explain. We would copy it into our books and read to learn. Our parents would then quiz us.

What is wrong with this? Only a quarter of children nowadays are visual learners. This would only appeal to them and therefore three-quarters of the others would struggle. If you did pass by learning in a way that was not conducive to you, chances are you would not be learning but memorising. The problem with learning by memory is that it is not remembered long term as the concepts are not understood and retained. There are four ways of learning:

Visual: Visual learning is a teaching

?? ?? FATIGUE: The problem with learning by memory is that it is not remembered long term because the concepts are not understood and retained.
