WHY DOES Independent Media continually publish Colin Arendse’s letters?

I would much prefer to listen to the real voice of the people rather than his continuous drivel. The ANC is presently waging war with itself. Many senior members and past ANC stalwarts are openly voicing their dissatisfaction with the leadership of President Jacob Zuma and his lackeys.

Meanwhile, Arendse, a supporter of the president, is sniping at others over issues.

For example, he accuses Mayor Patricia de Lille of erecting a cellphone mast in the wrong location.

He also accuses Lorencia October of “blind loyalty” because she supports the mayor, although he himself has supported Zuma from the beginning.

At a time when the ANC has lost its moral compass and its soul and is now at last looking within to learn the reasons why, one would have expected Arendse to do likewise.

Arendse, unlike us, you are not a victim of Zuma, you are an accomplice. You voted for him. Why have you not criticised him in your many letters or are you satisfied with the level of honesty and integrity shown by him? You are judged by the company you keep. As an ANC member, you are therefore precluded from criticising others, for now. If you do, it is called hypocrisy. Good luck with your introspection.
