Hannah Cornelius murder sparks fears

-

Manimal Ronin: Please don’t dramatise this whole situation, at least 90% of people living in Cape Town have been robbed at some point of their life. I have been robbed once while in primary school and three times while in high school. Once while on school premises. I had friends who were robbed at UCT. UWC is the worst. What’s so special about Stellies? This has been going on for years and don’t think it will change; you either get street smart or stay indoors. We can’t expect the police to give one area special attention. Other countries are not much different. I sympathise with Hannah’s family as that is a brutal rape and unnecessary loss of life. The time for giving special treatment to certain areas is long gone!

Frank Wallace: Gangsters are using kids because they supposedly can’t go to jail. This law needs to be changed very quickly… there are kid gangs all over the Cape Flats.

Debbie Law Lekas: This is a huge concern as my daughter wants to study there next year. The thing is this, these bad things are happening everywhere, but if security measures can be upgraded, they should really do that.
