Serial rapist sentenced to 140 years

A MAN of 26 was sentenced to a combined 140 years imprisonment after he was found to be a serial rapist and thief by the North Gauteng High Court, sitting in Potchefstroom.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Adele Myburgh said: “Tebogo Israel Matiwane was sentenced on six counts of rape and robbery committed between April 2008 and March 2016 in Ikageng and Potchefstroom… Matiwane would target unsuspecting woman walking alone on the streets, then rape and rob them.” – ANA
