Trumps adds insult to injury

-

SOME readers misinterpreted my last letter of January 10, where I referred to Trump as being a “genius”.

It was all written in reference and in response to his calling himself a “very stable genius”. I have never being a fan of Trump and the letter was written tongue in cheek, hence also the use of a quote by satirist/humorist, screenwriter Bruce Feirstein.

It was in fact about the opportunistic and narcissistic side of Trump, who plays to the tune of only the very rich and influential public of America, to the detriment of the ordinary, lesser rich, poor and blacks of America and the rest of the world.

The latest insulting outburst by Trump saying Haiti, Africans, and by association we South Africans, are living in and coming from “s***hole” countries bears testimony to the fact that he is a complete and utter racist.

In response, LeanneManas@morninglivesabc out-tweeted Trump with the best tweet of the day: “Good morning from the greatest and most beautiful s***hole country in the world”.

What makes it sad is that Trump is a leader of a country that has gone through so many natural disasters of late, and in return has had sympathy and support from around the world for its losses.

Haiti in turn is remembering, and trying to come to terms with, the deadly earthquake disaster of eight years ago that killed thousands of people.

And then racist Trump decides to add insult to injury instead of sympathy and support. MO NOOR JOSEPH Crawford
