team of the WEEK

MOHAMMED ANAS scored a late brace to help Free State Stars keep up a dream run that sees them sitting in third place with seven matches to go. Stars were losing to relegationthreatened Platinum Stars when Anas popped up in the 82nd and 89th minute to grab the win. The Ghanaian forward leads our Team of the Week along with Sibusiso Vilakazi upfront. The versatile Sundowns player has been carrying the Brazilians after being given a rest to refresh his legs so that he returns strong for the final stretch. He was certainly strong against AmaZulu on Friday, scoring a brace. Sundowns retain their spot at the summit with that victory. Orlando Pirateskept the pressure on Sundowns with a 3-1 win over their arch-rivals Chiefs. Luvuyo Memela came from the bench in the second half and stole the show by scoring with his first touch and then went on to complete a brace in the Chiefs’ demolition job. Memela and his teammate Musa Nyatama are in our midfield with the ageless Jabu Maluleke dictating terms. Maluleke showed his class by creating the two goals that saw Polokwane City snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat against Arrows. Goalkeeper: Richard Ofori (Maritzburg) Rightback: Joseph Molangoane (Chiefs) Leftback: Mosa Lebusa (Ajax) Central Defender: Lorenzo Gordinho (Celtic); Happy Jele (Pirates) Rightwinger: Mpho Kgaswane (Baroka) Leftwinger: Luvuyo Memela (Pirates) Central Midfielder: Musa Nyatama (Pirates); Jabu Maluleke (Polokwane City) Striker: Sibusiso Vilakazi (Sundowns); Mohammed Anas (Free State Stars)
