International travellers give The Table Bay a top rating
THE MULTIPLE award-winning The Table Bay hotel is another award richer.
The hotel, part of Sun International’s SunLux collection of luxury hotels, has been acknowledged with a Reevoo award for the second consecutive year by British Airways Holidays, for being one of the top reviewed hotels in its customer excellence awards programme.
The Table Bay achieved a score of 9.1 out of 10 based on customer reviews, making it one of 350 top-rated hotels out of more than 12 000 evaluated in the programme.
In 2016, British Airways Holidays commissioned independent review company Reevoo to collect reviews from customers. Guests were asked to score hotels based on location, service, cleanliness and sleep-quality, and to provide an overall quality score based on their experience. The Table Bay was ranked highly across all categories by guests who have stayed at the hotel.
“Our guests are the lifeblood of our hotel, so for us it is significant that this award is based on reviews by our guests. For the second year running, The Table Bay has been rated highly by discerning travellers from across the world. This is a great source of pride for us, as we continually strive to deliver a world-class experience,” said Joanne Selby, general manager of the hotel.
The Table Bay was opened by former president Nelson Mandela in 1997. Set in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, with the working harbour, Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean providing its backdrop, The Table Bay is close to Cape Town’s business centre and an array of tourist attractions. It has 329 rooms offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean or V&A Waterfront, a world-class spa, five function venues and a pool-deck. – Staff Reporter
