GUPTA WORKERS TO HEAR FATE IN COURT
THE future of more than 500 mineworkers at the Gupta-owned Optimum Coal Mine was set to be heard in the High Court in Pretoria today.
These mineworkers, mainly members of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), are part of a court application to stop two business rescue practitioners, Kurt Robert Knoop and Johann Louis Klopper, apparently appointed by the Guptas, from selling the mine.
NUM is a co-applicant, along with Outa, in a main application lodged in March this year by Andile Qaku of Deriko Mining and Exploration.
