Nevis launches wrapping paper

- | Staff Reporter

YOUR family and friends will not be the only ones wrapped up in style this festive season, as musician Jimmy Nevis and artist Joy Ezeka release their very own stylish wrapping paper.

The wrapping paper, which features roadways and transport vehicles, was created through a campaign with Novus Holdings, aimed at capturing a truly South African inspired wrapping paper which tells a story of giving and remembering one’s roots.

Nevis said: “When I was approached to be part of this campaign I jumped at the opportunity to work with talented up-and-coming artist, Joy Ezeka.”

The paper design was inspired by Nevis’s song 7764, a tribute to Athlone and the design mimics a road map of the suburb; metaphorically representing the many routes one has to take on the journey to achieving ones dreams.

Novus Holdings spokesperson Carrie Nixon said: “We hope that this special gift wrap brings joy to many this festive season, as well as inspires South Africans to follow their dreams.”

The design will be revealed and available from Cavendish Square Shopping Centre as part of their gift-wrapping service over the festive season between Monday December 17 and Monday December 24.

Shoppers will be asked to make a small donation in exchange for the service, as the proceeds will go to the Cape Kidney Association and the SPCA. Nevis will be available between 10am and 12pm at Cavendish Square on December 21 to open the gift wrapping service, wrap shoppers’ gifts and meet fans.
