BELUGA Restaurant began life in 1999 and has always given its utmost best to be one of the greatest restaurants in Cape Town. Since new ownership in 2017 by the Smith family, this belief is no exception. In fact, we believe in pushing even harder!
Beluga Restaurant is nestled in The Foundry, a century-old art deco setting that resembles a trendy New York style loft. We have plenty of safe paid parking available down Cardiff street, or have the Uber drop you off at the door.
Beluga is an institution in Cape Town that should not be missed. Our menu is a Euro-Asian Fusion style with the finest ingredients and dishes for every individual desire. Our venue boasts a vibrant bar, sunny courtyard, cosy dining area, worldly wine attic and exclusive whisky lounge.

We value the amazing relationships with our remarkable suppliers and would not be where we are today without them. Whether you crave Moët Champagne and fresh West Coast oysters, exclusive whisky tastings by our whisky connoisseurs, wonderful crisp wines, classy cocktails or sumptuous sushi – we have it all.
At our beautiful Beluga, we have served princes, presidents, sport stars, as well as a host of celebrity chefs, models, singers and actors. We are also blessed with an amazing following of regular guests, without whom we would never be where we are today.
We love our patrons and it is for this reason that we offer a multitude of delicacies, including vegan, vegetarian and Halaal dishes.
We, however, don’t stop here. At Beluga we continuously strive to bring our patrons fun and exciting events, so that you are never left needing more – only wanting it.
We always celebrate the weekly - such as amazing daily drink specials, live music every Wednesday evening, and Saturday and Sunday lunch. The greats such as Valentine’s, Mother’s, Father’s, Women’s Day, Heritage Day and Halloween; and the amazing, such as a themed New Years Eve celebration and an annual launch party.
