CLOVER BRINGS GREEK YOGHURT

CLOVER’S recently launched Authentiko­s yoghurt is made using a Greek culture exclusivel­y developed in Greece by the Agricultur­al University of Athens.

It’s described as a “velvety-smooth snack”, available in three varieties – double cream yoghurt (sweetened), double cream yoghurt with strawberry and double cream yoghurt with honey.

The 100g packs have a RSP of R8.49. Authentiko­s is fortified with vitamins and is a source of protein with amino acids.

Traditiona­l Greek yoghurt is made by fermenting milk with live bacteria cultures. The yoghurt mixture is then strained, sometimes multiple times.

Greek-style yoghurt, though, is thickened artificial­ly with gelatin, modified starches and gum.
