CLOVER BRINGS GREEK YOGHURT
CLOVER’S recently launched Authentikos yoghurt is made using a Greek culture exclusively developed in Greece by the Agricultural University of Athens.
It’s described as a “velvety-smooth snack”, available in three varieties – double cream yoghurt (sweetened), double cream yoghurt with strawberry and double cream yoghurt with honey.
The 100g packs have a RSP of R8.49. Authentikos is fortified with vitamins and is a source of protein with amino acids.
Traditional Greek yoghurt is made by fermenting milk with live bacteria cultures. The yoghurt mixture is then strained, sometimes multiple times.
Greek-style yoghurt, though, is thickened artificially with gelatin, modified starches and gum.
