Protesting in fashion
LONDON: British designer Dame Vivienne Westwood turned her show at London Fashion Week into a protest against issues ranging from climate change to Brexit.
The 77-year-old allowed her models, who included actress and anti-harassment campaigner Rose McGowan, to address various issues.
Some models wore Pinocchio-like noses. Loose tops bore playing cards designed to “illustrate a plan to save the world from climate change”.
Protesters from the Extinction Rebellion group also sought to shine a spotlight on climate change by blocking roads.
