AMNESTY International’s Cape Town chapter invites all Grades 9 to 12 pupils in the Western Cape to participate in the Peter Benenson Writing Competition 2019.
Amnesty International is a global human rights movement that campaigns for a world where human rights are enjoyed and respected by all.
The team said its topic, “taking injustice personally”, invited learners to creatively tackle issues in a solution-oriented manner, with the aim of empowering youth to be the leaders “we” need.

The deadline is July 31 and the winning entries will be published on Amnesty International South Africa’s website, and will be announced on August 15.
Submissions that show evidence of plagiarism will not be considered.
Pupils should submit entries to peterbeneson2019@gmail.com. If they have questions they may email the team.
