Exposing lies about Israel

ISRAEL is based on numerous lies.

Fortunately, the IOL news website, the internet and other media sources are exposing these lies.

Lie No 1. A land without people for a people without a land; a flat out lie, as Palestine was fully inhabited by Muslims, Christians and a small Jewish minority; which was a province of the Roman, Ottoman and other intervening empires.

Lie No 2. Muslims were always the enemy of the Jews and the Christians were always their friends. Not true. For 2 000 years, it was European Christians who murdered Jews in numerous pogroms culminating in the Holocaust, and it was the Muslims who gave them a home.

Lie No 3. If you criticise Zionist oppression of the Palestinians, then you are an anti-Semite. The Palestinians are also Semites.

Lie No 4. Rockets are found in school A. Israel bombs school B knowing that there are hundreds of Palestinians seeking refuge there.

Israel then says they bombed the school because there were rockets there.

Lie No 5. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.

Not true for four reasons. Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq are also democracies.

Jordan is a de jure constitutional monarchy but a de facto democracy.

And Israel does not allow the Palestinians it expelled and Palestinians living under occupation to vote, and there is a racial and social stratification inside Israel.

Lie No 6. Terrorism is a solely Arab phenomenon.

Not true since many Israeli terrorist organisations like the Irgun Zvai Leumi, Haganah and Stern gangs attacked and destroyed Palestinian towns and villages which resulted in the mass exodus of Palestinians to neighbouring Arab countries.

There are many more lies.
