For Zodwa Wabantu, life goes on
ZODWA Wabantu is ready to move forward with her life following the conclusion of the first season of her reality TV show and her recent break-up.
Her rise to fame has been nothing short of a fairy tale, going from being only known for her legs and dancing without wearing panties in Durban nightclubs.
Wabantu rose to become a wellknown figure in South Africa, booked to perform and make appearances locally and internationally.
It led to her getting a reality show which became one of the most popular shows on Moja Love, and while her relationship with Ntobeko Linda is over, the Afrotainment star is ready to move on.
Wabantu said she was content with the final episode of her show and told of how the end of her relationship impacted on her moving forward. “I still believe in love. I love too much, so I want to love less and give less. I don’t want to teach a lot, ’cause people tend to use what you’ve taught them and turn it against you.”
During the filming of the last episode, Wabantu did reveal why she called off the wedding: “I called it off after considering Ntobeko’s feelings, because he’s still young and would probably want to have children in the future, which is not part of my plans.” There’s still no word as to whether her reality TV show,
will be renewed for a second season, but it look as if South Africa still hasn’t had enough of their favourite pantyless queen. Since she officially announced the end of her relationship with Linda, rumours have been circulating that he was allegedly cheating on her. Wabantu has refuted these claims, saying he’d never cheated and that if he did, the women in question would’ve bragged about it.
“Ntobeko didn’t cheat because if he cheated, ladies would have said ‘yaas we have shown Zodwa Wabantu’.”
The couple have been a talking point since going public, with Wabantu saying how happy she was in the relationship and that she didn’t care about Linda’s age.
Wabantu also bought herself an engagement ring and paid lobola, which was shown in
in June. However, their relationship hit a rough patch in the same period, with Wabantu saying the couple were taking a break.
“I’m losing myself. I need my spark back. I’m not happy anymore,” she said.
Following this, Wabantu ended the engagement, but said the wedding was still going forward, posting a picture of a potential wedding dress on Instagram.
Following the break-up announcement, Linda broke his silence and said that “Zodwa knows the truth”.
Wabantu also said that she wanted her lobola money back, and that it was only fair they split the money.
