Profit and principle
I REFER to the series of articles authored by Dr Iqbal Survé in your editions of March 31 to April 2.
He champions the need to adapt our behaviour and change the way we do business post-Covid-19, which has had positive effects which point in that direction.
He implores us to “spread love, compassion and understanding”.
And he points out that for “collaboration and co-operation (the gift of Covid-19) to work, it has to be founded on honesty, integrity and transparency”.
I have no doubt that he well appreciates that success in business requires taking advantage of
(and creating) opportunities to secure the maximum benefit for oneself from any business transaction, and achieve that by any means necessary.
He does not suggest how the change is going to happen because, like the rest of us, he has no experience of doing business with these new principles.
