‘Bond girl’ dies at 94

LONDON: Honor Blackman, the actor best-known for playing Bond girl Pussy Galore opposite Sean Connery in the 1964 007 film

Goldfinger, has died aged 94. “She died peacefully of natural causes at her home in Lewes, Sussex, surrounded by her family,” her family said.

In 2014, Blackman spoke about why she turned down a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). “Since I’m a republican I thought it would be somewhat hypocritical to pop up to the palace,” she said.
