Could Trump and Noakes be right about Covid-19?

-

WHEN one applies logic to the Covid-19 situation, there are too just many holes in the entire narrative, which makes a lot of it difficult to believe.

It’s like a giant jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing. One wonders whether the World Health Organization is being upfront about the various issues.

The first one being the fact that all viruses mutate over time into a different version of the original. The answer seems to be not to vaccinate against a virus, but to cure it when it arrives, which is what scientists in South Africa are working on.

As sure as the sun will shine tomorrow, another version of Covid19 will pop up no sooner than a vaccine has been discovered.

With hundreds of theories as to who and why some people are dying of Covid-19 and others not, a radio discussion with Dr Tim Noakes recently contends that its all about diet and the condition of the immune system.

Noakes suggests it’s our diets that are wrong, with consumption of sugar and carbs being the root cause of all our woes, which leads to diabetes, which in turn becomes an easy target for all viruses. Could it be that the highest death rate in the world, in New York, is the result of the dismal diets followed by the Americans ?

Donald Trump, being the pragmatist and realist he is, calls for the lifting of restrictions in the US and the opening up of the economy, regardless of the consequences. His contention clearly is that without a vibrant, active, thriving economy, there can be no life in America anyway. Perhaps he sees collateral damage as being necessary in the interests of the bigger picture. Is it possible that he’s right?

What we know for certain is that life as we knew it before is gone forever. COLIN BOSMAN | Newlands
