MP faces action over his threats

-

THE ANC parliamentary caucus has decided to undertake an internal disciplinary process against MP Boy Mamabolo, who allegedly verbally threatened Sunday World newspaper journalist Ngwako Malatji during a recorded telephone interview, ANC chief whip Pemmy Majodina said.

“We denounce the alleged unbecoming behaviour of the ANC Member of Parliament. As an MP, comrade Mamabolo is bound by the oath of office to serve, represent, respect and protect the citizens of the Republic of South Africa,” Majodina said.

“We note that Mr Malatji opened a case against Mamabolo and we will allow the law to take its course.”

According to reports, Malatji lodged a complaint with police after Mamabolo allegedly threatened to shoot him and kick his testicles. |
