Instead of the saviour we hoped for, SA got an ineffectual, lame duck president

-

WE ALL wanted to believe in President Cyril Ramaphosa. We chose to believe him. We needed to believe in him, especially after nine wasted years with Zuma that brought this country to its current sorry and lamentable state.

With all his promises and mantra of “Thuma Mina” and the slogan of “New Dawn” that is already obsolete and fallen by the wayside, as all things promised, if they move at all, they move with the slowness of shifting tectonic plates.

Well, believe this. The man you wanted, the man you choose, the man you needed to be president and get us back to the path of prosperity, has been nothing but a lame duck president from day one.

He is incapable, powerless, ineffective and inept at making any decision by himself on critical issues that affect all of us.

Unfortunately, all he is doing is establishing commissions of inquiry and committees, boards of inquiry and investigation, inquests and advisory panels, one after another, wasting precious time with the latest on attacks and burning of over 50 long-haul trucks on our roads recently, which is economic sabotage needing urgent attention.

You might now to choose to deal with this sad reality – a weak, feeble and pathetic president who cannot make a decision and always talks about the collective and the long game. You also need to do a bit more research and introspection and then some soul searching about all the facts of his political promises.

Good luck.
