Philip secured honourable place in many hearts

-

A WAVE of grief engulfed England and the globe following the demise of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The feeling of desertedness is being felt by the people because the real crown of the royal family has fallen. Philip embodied self-sacrifices, the royal values and devotion to duty that will stand as a fountain of inspiration. He had an uncanny knack of moulding the monarch to preserve the royal image, at a particular juncture when the royal family was facing the odds and obstacles.

Philip’s stature was a prestige of royalty and pride for the United Kingdom. His constant colourful feature was an integral part of British life. With his sad departure a cherished chapter of the Great Britain story will be finished.

Great people will die but death can never kill their names. This is befitting here, evidenced by a growing array of floral tributes outside the palace at Windsor Castle and nationwide, and the image of the Duke being screened at London’s Piccadilly Circus shows that he secured an honourable and admirable place in many hearts that will remain forever.

The international community mourns his passing. In sharing sentiments of sympathy international flags were lowered to half-mast at government offices, private and public places.

We offer our sincere feelings of empathy and support. HANIF A PATEL | Eklera-Bhanondra Gujarat the Province of India
