Only politicians and criminals enjoy freedom, safety

-

ONLY a naive believer in God can insist that this so-called democracy of ours and the sweetest Constitution in the world are there to serve holiness and righteousness.

The real boss of this democracy and Constitution is the unholy one. Otherwise, how can it be that Christians who are a majority have to sacrifice their voice and belief to appease a minority of Muslims,

Buddhists and others? Do countries of Muslims and/or Buddhists as in China, where they are a majority, accommodate Christians?

That is the biggest problem with South Africans, we always want to appear sweet, progressive and highly moral to the world but our circumstances and the reality of our lives tell a different story.

Even, this one-sided gender narrative, we are fed day and night, has more to do with impressing the UN and the West than dealing with the real imbalances in economic, social and cultural paradigms.

If one talks about freedom and safety, then the truth of the matter is that only the VIP politicians and criminals are beneficiaries. The politicians are efficiently protected by elite police units whereas criminals are almost a law unto themselves, in and outside of prison.

Politicians are free because nobody can touch them. Criminals not only intimidate citizens, but they also intimidate the police and in certain instances work with them.

In prison, convicted criminals even kill and rape other prisoners. It is not true that only women live in fear in South Africa. Violence affects everyone especially black men.

Black, white, coloured, Indian, Chinese and foreign residents all live in fear and this is the reason there are tall walls, dogs and alarms in almost every settlement.

Only politicians and criminals are free to enjoy freedom and safety, especially during the night.
