Why Muslims are powerless

WHAT is going on in Palestine? I see an asymmetrical distribution of power. The Muslims are powerless and the Israelis are powerful.

The war is symptoms of a deeper malaise. That of powerlessness. How is it that 9 million Israelis (2 million of whom are Arab and other minorities) cannot be defeated by 1.6 billion Muslims? The answer lies in analysing what happened to the power of the 1.6 billion Muslims.

Powerlessness exists in all fields of endeavour.

In political philosophy 101, we Muslims rejected democracy and empowered the dictators and kings of the world. So we have zero political power, therefore allowing the kings and dictators to govern.

In political philosophy 102, we rejected majority rule and adopted minority rule so were therefore unable to unite. So we have 50 Muslim states and thousands of minorities pulling in different directions, unable to unite and assist the hapless Palestinians.

In economic philosophy 101, we rejected capitalism and adopted socialism. Although we are 20% of the world’s population, we produce only 5% of its income. Without economic power, we are powerless.

In gender, we re-enslaved women and developed a misogynistic system. The women who are half of the population were disempowered, therefore reducing the power of the Muslims by half.

In knowledge systems, we rejected freedom of expression, competition and science and adopted conspiracy theories and various superstitions.

Blaming Israel for aggression is like blaming the lion for eating an isolated buffalo. But when the buffalo forms a herd, they can chase the lions away. Its time for the 1.6 billion Muslims to obey God and His Prophet and empower themselves. NAUSHAD OMAR | Zeekoevlei
