Watch your back, Mr Mayor

LOSING mayoral hopeful Xolani Sotashe of the ANC “congratulated” Geordin Hill-Lewis on his win, then followed it up with a blatant threat: “If you begin to be arrogant and dismissive… you will be declaring war.“

Rather a bizarre statement, which itself suggests a declaration of war.

Mister mayor, despite Sotashe’s assurance of support from the ANC, you’d do well to watch your back because you are unlikely to be getting any support from this man.

Rather, expect him to make your work as difficult as he can.
