Hypocrisy and fear of religious prophecy fuels some hostilities

- | Cape Muslim Congress

TWO recent issues confirm, without doubt, that global politics are racist and without integrity.

First, the Russian attack on Ukraine triggered a global outcry, forcing governments to reach for sanctions. After consensus was reached, European nations refused to commit on Russian oil and gas imports, as it is cheaper. The decision is financial and to hell with principles or suffering Ukrainians.

In contrast, when the allies, Britain, the US, etc, sanctioned Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan etc, the sanction was instant and the world had to comply. Those that refused were shamed and punished.

What is obvious is that Europeans have options, but Arabs, Asian and Africans do not – this is racist.

Secondly, the US and its allies invaded, raped and plundered Afghanistan for 20 years, and after they were defeated and ran in disgrace, they imposed sanctions from a safe distance. The allies left behind those Afghans who collaborated, and punished the people of Afghanistan as an entirety.

More Afghans than Ukrainians starve, as the Afghans are methodically starved by the US and its allies. The question is why the sanctions to destroy Afghanistan are so important for the US and its allies?

The answers is far-fetched but understandable, if we grasp Judaic, Christian and Islamic history.

The US and British fixation with Afghanistan is also connected to an ancient prophecy.

Though, Muslims and Christians are expecting Jesus to return as the Messiah, Muslims also believe that Jesus will have military support, which will arise from the lands of Afghanistan and environs.

In the end, ironically we will all return to dust.
