Where have all the good men gone?

-

LIFE during apartheid was difficult as racism inspired futility.

Computers, big-screen TVs and interconnectivity were limited and social media did not exist.

Oddly, we had security and electricity and water was available and cheap. Today, we have limited security, little water and electricity, but lots of connectivity. Murder and violent crimes are increasing despite the billions spent on various projects. Logic suggests we just return the death penalty.

Today, everyone demands some or other “rights”. Yet few people talk about duty and accountability.

Jews, Christians and Muslims are advised by the Torah, Bible and Qur’an that men and women are meant to marry for intimacy. Also, those who question this become an enemy of the Creator. Since female equality has seemingly been juxtaposed to create a set-up where every man is regarded as a likely villain, we must be cautious about unknown penalties and dangers lurking in the shadows.

For example, the philosophy of Charlie Harper in the American sitcom Two and a Half Men states, if you have someone to clean your house and get “regular action” on the side, why get married?

Many women share intimacy after “dinner and a movie” as depicted in cinemas, on TV and social media. Hedonism is presented as logical and preferred and key to the fundamentalist self-indulgent ethic inspired by a jihadist-like aggressive, imperialistic Western culture.

Since this trend began in Europe decades ago where folk cohabit and few marry, European women are re-evaluating their “freedom”. In a Time magazine study these women speak of emptiness.

Since there are fewer men than women because of war and other factors including homosexuality, poverty, lack of attraction and infertility among men, the pool of eligible men is declining rapidly.

Eligible men have more options as the “brides for sale” business across Eastern Europe and the Far East is escalating.

Study any local family and witness the increasing number of single women as eligible men rethink marriage.

Modern men fear the spiritual, psychosomatic and financial duty towards a full-time wife.

With the pending decriminalisation of prostitution, men will have a million options without obligation.

In the world today there are millions who do not know their fathers. We are breeding a generations of bastards, the term for those born out of wedlock. Soon most Europeans will be bastards.

The point is, be careful from whom you take advice, as ignorant people also love to share opinions.

It is better to return to the collective wisdom of the Torah, Bible and Qur’an, which is the origin of truth and wisdom. These texts have guided humankind for more than 5 000 years.
