‘Kind-hearted, caring Uncle Sam’ always comes to the rescue

A PARAGRAPH in T Markandan’s letter, “Twofaced US salving their conscience”, caught my eye. He states: “Yet both the Israelis and the Palestinians are blood cousins. They are the descendants of Moses.” Could he clarify and give proof of just how they are related?

Could he also give confirmation of the statement: “They have the blessing of Jehovah to wipe out the Palestinians living in Gaza”? Where can this “blessing” be found? Hamas is hell-bent on driving the Israelis into the sea, but that’s okay. Whose “blessing” has Hamas got?

The US does supply arms to Israel just as Iran and Russia are supplying rockets and arms to Hamas and other terrorist organisations, plus supporting them financially. The people of Gaza are not “innocent”. They are just as guilty as Hamas as they collaborated with Hamas in the merciless and vicious attack on the unsuspecting Israelis on October 7. The UN Security Council should be demanding that Hamas end the war, as they started it – not the Israelis.

The US is “kind-hearted, caring and generous” as it provides over $50 billion in foreign aid to more than 150 countries and territories annually. No Arab states are this generous. The US is the world’s biggest donor. It will also provide $500million to support the Palestinians.

The world’s needy countries cannot do without the “all-mighty US” and should be grateful for their support. Even South Africa benefits from their generosity, and we have the cheek and audacity to point fingers. The US “two-faced”? Not on your nellie!
