SA band Overtone is to make waves in the US, appearing on an American reality TV show featuring Clint Eastwood, his wife Dina and their two teenage daughters, Francesca and Morgan.

CNN reported the show Mrs Eastwood and company is on Dina’s life, career and her two daughters.

The show will also feature the a cappella sextet Overtone, managed by Dina Eastwood. The couple spotted them in Cape Town when Clint Eastwood was shooting Invictus.

“Overtone blew me away with their voices, harmonies, looks and stage presence during a chance outing at a ‘Queen’ tribute show in Cape Town,” says Dina on Overtone’s website.

“From the day they got off the plane, everyone said, ‘This has to be a show’,” Dina told the New York Daily News.

The show is being filmed in the family’s home in Carmel, California and in Los Angeles. It will air on the E! Network in the US from May 20.

Clint Eastwood is unlikely to appear too much in the show however, as he is preparing to film his own version of the classic Hollywood tale A Star is Born.

The 10-episode series, will be produced by the same company behind the Kardashian shows and Project Runway.

“Nothing is more important to me than family – no matter how you define that. People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach, and I also believe that it’s hard not to fall in love with my band, Overtone,” Dina said.
